I bought this book hoping to make it an easy gift to someone interested in starting to machine knit. STAY AWAY!!! It is awful! The pictures don't match the captions. it only knows Brother family machine. The directions in some cases are wrong! I don't think it is a different way to do something from my way. I don't think it gets the job done. I keep it as an example of something not to share. It has a sweet introduction, and I wanted it to be a valuable book. It just is not. The patterns are usually available on the internet, questionably worth the now reduced cost of the book.
