I have this book, it's like new, but am using a Passap and the instructions are mostly for other models. Editor is Taunton Press May, 1990, with a coloured cover. I'll be coming from Italy to the US with the book on May 8th, and would like to sell it there if anyone is interested.

Excellent, well organized, tons of information. Especially useful for those non automatic patterning machines as the Bond or the LK 100. Clear fotos and instructions.

An excellent book, constantly referenced for ideas. I thoroughly recommend this book for those who wish to extend beyond the regular garment patterns available. If you have this book and aren't using it, then pass it on to those who are willing to venture beyond the regular as they would get untold use from it and it would be a waste to leave such a valuable asset gathering dust.

The production values are always polished and professional and Susan's explanations are simple and thorough. Add in her own creativity and you have a 5 star publication.

Although I am a perpetual newbie, I found, and still find, this book extremely helpful. I am not doing a lot of hand manipulated knitting right now, except for ribbing for hems and a little tuck, and was not sure this book was for me, After taking a couple classes by Susan Guaglium online, I decided to purchase it. It was after the classes and reading this book that I joined Knit it Now. A lot had to do with the classes and the book, as they got me hooked. This is more than hand manipulation. The book starts with information about the machine bed and carriage. A lot of it is on this website, also, but for me, hardcopy helps cement things and I can check it all out without using my computer, plus, as I said, this book was pre-KIN, but I still use it. The diagrams, photos and explanation of the different accessories in the beginning are very informative. As she suggests, I read the first two chapters entirely, and have gone back to them. Stitches are explained and shown in photographs to make them very understandable. I think this book adds to my Knit it Now subscription, as do a couple other books I have. I highly recommend this book to beginners and intermediate knitters, as well as those who are experienced and may find a new stitch pattern to use..

The book is very well organized and it is easily understood and well-written. I find it would be useful for all levels of machine knitters.
