Band Pickup

Skip the Math!

The Band Pickup tool helps you estimate how many stitches to pick up along a cardigan front edge for a band.

A good pickup count keeps the band lying flat - no pulling in, no rippling.

stitches per 4 in / 10 cm

rows per 4 in / 10 cm

Count the rows along the edge where the band will go.

Too few stitches can make the band pull in. Too many stitches can make the edge ripple.
