Reform Individual Stitches

Because the needles on our needlebeds are positioned in one direction, passing the carriage and knitting a row produces stitches with the purl bumps facing.

You might want purl bumps on the opposite side of the knitting:

• Ribbing
• Garter stitch accent rows
• Vertical accents between cables
• Accents to eyelets for lace

To reform individual Stitches:

1. Use your latch tool to remove an individual stitch from the machine needle
2. Insert the hook of the latch tool in the stitch in the row below
3. Release the loose stitch
4. Place the stitch behind the latch
5. Place the unknit strand in the hook of the tool
6. Pull the strand through, closing the latch with the stitch and forming a new stitch
7. Replace the new stitch back on the machine
8. Notice that the purl bump is now away from you
