Lace Practice

The Goal:

Left side: Practice transferring stitches right and left and examine the difference in the shape of the eyelet.
Right side: Take a single needle out of work and examine the possibilities of needles out of work.

1. Cast on 20 stitches L10-1 R1-10.
2. Knit 4 rows.
3. Transfer needle R5 to the right. Keep the emptied needle in out-of-work position.
4. Transfer needle L6 to the right. Keep the emptied needle in working position.
5. Knit 2 rows.
6. Transfer needle L5 to the left. Keep the emptied needle in working position.
7. Knit 2 rows.
8. Transfer needle L6 to the right. Keep the emptied needle in working position.
9. Knit 4 rows.
10. Bind off or drop the work from the machine.
