Intentional Holes

Lace in knitting consists of secure holes (or eyelets) that are strategically placed to form graphic designs.
If you are a hand knitter you are probably familiar with k2tog, yo (Knit 2 together, yarn over). You can work this same type of eyelet sequence on the machine.

The secret to knitting lace is remembering that the purl side is facing, so traditional lace patterns may need to be reversed

With the LK-150, lace is created by hand manipulating individual stitches. The technique is similar to decreases, the key is to keep the emptied needle in working position so an eyelet is formed and the stitch forms a new stitch on the following row.

Simple all-over lace patterns can easily be created by alternating the stitches that are transferred and the direction of the transfers.
